The Highway to Health initiative aims to encourage people of all ages to walk for leisure and good health. The walk starts outside the Island Civic Centre at Lisburn.

Route Type Highway to Health, Urban
Beginning outside the Council Offices at the Island Civic Centre, go straight across the Laganbank Road. Turn left, and follow the Hillsborough Road past the Lagan Valley Hospital. Turn left again when you reach Meadowvale, and left back onto the Hillsborough Old Road. Follow this straight for almost 2km as far as Young Street to the end of this walk.
Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum
The walk can be started at any point and walked in either direction. However the main starting point is at Queens Road opposite Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn

Urban route through Lisburn City Centre, numerous opportunities for refreshments.
