Gosford Forest Park, Arboretum Trail
This easy loop guides visitors along the riverside and through Gosford’s impressive Arboretum, taking in Dean Swift’s Chair along the way.
Gosford Forest Park offers just over 12km (8 miles) of waymarked walking routes exploring the key sites of interest around the park including the Arboretum, Deer Park, Castle and woodland.

The route is clearly signed from the car park and around the trail. Starting at the walk trailhead arch, the trail takes in the Arboretum and the southern end of the Walled garden before returning to the car park.
Arboretum and walled garden. A children’s play area can be found beside the visitor car park and is open each day when the main forest park is open.
From Armagh, follow the A28 Newry Road to Markethill. The entrance to the forest is signposted along this road.
